SMS Opt-In Program
DontOversleep wake-up check texts — how consent works
DontOversleep, operated by Knightbook LLC, sends scheduled wake-up confirmation text messages. Recipients receive wake-up texts only after opting in by replying YES to a single invitation message (SMS double opt-in). This page documents the complete flow and the exact messages we send.
1. An account holder schedules a wake-up check
In the DontOversleep app, an account holder enters the recipient's name and mobile number. Both account holders and recipients must be adults (18+). This is the call to action exactly as it appears in the app — the consent disclosure sits directly above the save button:
Saving sends this person a one-time SMS invitation from DontOversleep. Wake-up check texts begin only after they reply YES to opt in. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. They can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. How SMS opt-in works · Terms · Privacy
2. The recipient gets one invitation text
The recipient receives exactly one invitation message. No other messages are sent unless and until they reply YES:
3. Consent is granted by replying YES
Opt-in happens on the recipient's own handset. When they reply YES (or START), we record the consent with a timestamp and confirm it:
4. Wake-up check texts begin
After opt-in, the recipient receives one message at each scheduled wake-up time (typically 1–3 messages per day per active check):
Account holders separately consent at sign-up (with their own verified number) to receive sign-in codes and status alerts about their own wake-up checks.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts immediately; we confirm the unsubscribe and send nothing further. Reply START to rejoin, or HELP for help.
